The WMSS Story

John Cartwright established WMSS over 20 years ago to provide the drivers of Birmingham with high-quality car repairs and servicing.

With a combination of skill, experience and hard work, we have built up one of the most respected independent garages in the city, attracting customers not only from Erdington where our workshop is based but from all across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

We’re happy to work on all makes and models of cars and light commercial vehicles while at the same time, we’re the local specialists in BMW, Mini, Mercedes and Saab and can boast a vast range of dealer level diagnostic equipment and specialist tooling. We were Saab specialists for decades before production ended and continue to repair and maintain them – we are one of the few remaining distributors in the country for Saab parts.

We take pride in our modern, well-equipped workshop in Erdington, Birmingham which has plenty of on-site parking and a comfortable customer waiting and viewing area with free wifi. If you’re based in the local area but find it hard to get to us, we offer a car collection and delivery service for your convenience and also have a courtesy car available (terms apply) for your use while we work on your car.
